Virtual Oasis

Universal Music has launched a two-day campaign with virtual world Habbo to promote Brit Pop band Oasis’ soon to be released tour documentary. The target teenage audience can visit Habbo’s newly created Dusty Lounge, a virtual underground gig venue, to watch exclusive pre-released extracts of the band’s new DVD Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, charting the band’s biggest world tour to date across 26 countries.

“Oasis has a massive fan base and it is essential that our digital campaign doesn’t neglect any of the demographic,” explains Emma Fulford, Digital Manager, Universal Strategic Marketing. “We want to make sure that the band’s teenage fans can catch a sneak preview of the DVD before its release on October 29th.”
