We at Brand Strategy were delighted when a friend of the magazine suggested this site to our blog – Sidetaker. Essentially, if you and a colleague (or even you and your partner) disagree on something, put it up there and people will comment on each side of the story.
Some branded ’sides’ we’d like to see up there:
- Persil and Ariel argue about which one really does wash whiter
- McDonald’s and Burger King fight over which restaurant does the tastiest fries (and whether the Burger King or Ronald McDonald are better mascots…..)
- Prada and Gucci argue about which brand has more style
We’re only joking about the branded battles but check out the website. It’s well worth a read. Our favourite two current debates are ‘What’s wrong with me buying a Gucci purse?’ and the classic ‘Gas or Pizza Hut?’.
