Bizarre brands and trademarks capitalising on the US general election

One of our blog readers, Darren over at CI Sense, has drawn our attention to an amusing post on his own blog, looking at 21 bizarre brands and trademarks associated with US politics and the presidential race. The examples listed below are all genuine applications to the US patent office:

‘Mo-bama’ – apparently a natural cosmetic skin powder….!

Obama Llama – yep, a stuffed toy!

Palin Pink – a lip gloss shade….

Hilary magic – an imaginatively named air-freshener….

Broccoli Obama – a vegetable dish. Hmmm.

Check out the full hilarious list over at CI Sense.

Based on your post on Interbrand’s Best Global Brand Report, I wonder if any of the candidate’s “brand” fit some of the criteria to make it on to that list.

    Thanks for the link.
